GIS Scope: Responsible for providing Support in Building & Maintaining Technical Information on Electricity & Water facility Network Infrastructure for DEWA through Development of GIS System and GIS Quality Assurance Services.
Unit: General
- Provide / Support services for General Administrative Control / Costing & Estimate of Planned works/Budgeting / LPO / Tendering/ Cost control/ Project Monitoring/ Records& Documentation/ Correspondence/ Project close invoice clearance.
Unit: GIS Technical Audits & Statistical Reporting
- To provide general management, logistics and support services to the core GIS functions carried out by other business units in GIS Section.
- Updates and preparing technical reports are key functions of this business unit.
Unit: GIS Systems Planning & Development
- To make GIS System improvement through planning, process designing and project development in terms of application enhancements, process improvements, people skills development, hardware needs advancement, and software upgrades to latest or state of the art technology.
- Defining GIS Data Modeling parameters, Data Mining Procedures.
Unit: GIS Projects (In-house & Outsource)
- To manage GIS projects for DEWA-GIS system improvements from tendering to implementation to satisfy GIS user department information needs.
Unit: GIS Operation
- Management of GIS Data Transaction & Landbase Update –Internally (among all DEWA departments)& Externally (with all Government Agencies)
Unit: GIS Data Quality Assurance
- To Assure that GIS data present & updated in the system is of the field measured quality and is usable in giving correct information to concerned GIS user departments.
- Quality Audit on data Control/Check functions in user departments to ensure compliance to standards.
- Prepare Acceptance/Rejection criteria for GIS data production/update activities for In-sourced and out-sourced GIS Projects.
